About Dave Reynolds

Dave Reynolds is a composer, a performer, an educator, and a writer. He’s recently released two recordings. “Waves of Soul” – a smooth, laid back electric guitar record inspired by the beaches, and lifestyle of Southern California, and “Self Meditate,” a recording that features the vihuela, the romantic era parlor guitar, the Chinese Zhongruan, and the ukulele. "Self Meditate" includes 8 different tracks, in 8 different keys that were specifically arranged for an incredible listening journey – truly a full tilt tune-up for the mind, body and soul.

Dave continues to tour as an onstage guitarist with the musical “Jingle Bell Rock.” He toured as a pit musician with a production of the “Little Shop of Horrors,” and performed as a solo classical guitarist five nights a week for three years at the Renaissance Mayflower Hotel in Washington DC where he released two recordings; “Live from The Renaissance Mayflower Hotel,” and “Partenza.”

Dave holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts Degree in Classical Guitar from Shenandoah University, a Masters of Music Degree in Jazz and Commercial Guitar from Towson University, and a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from St. Mary’s College of MD. He taught applied guitar, guitar ensemble, guitar pedagogy, music theory, ear training, and class guitar at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV from 2000 to 2005. Dave also implemented a highly successful guitar education program for Line 6 employees at their main offices in Calabasas, CA.

“Waves of Soul” marked the launching of “The Dave Reynolds Project,” who’s mission is to produce musical recordings and compositions, as well as teaching,  mentoring, and contributing to community service projects that will positively affect people’s lives.
